New Year 2020
Mediaphotos, it's all in the name, photography for use in any media. Video is also on offer and should you wish to shoot your own images then why not let me help with some photographic training so you get the most from your iPhone photography.
The photography business has moved on at a pace over the past few years. No longer is it a dark art practiced by only those in the know, with access to a concoction of chemicals in a darkroom. Digital photography and the smart phone have seen to that.
Digital technologies have made photography available to the masses and many businesses now shoot their own photography and video. It’s a fact that modern phones and digital cameras can help you make your own images with relative ease. But two things the technology can’t offer are creativity or the photographic expertise gained over many years of working in the business that allows the experienced professional photographer to create images that meet the exacting standards that your business deserves. Standards that apply in other aspects of your business should apply to your photography output if you want to create the right impression across your social media or in your PR and marketing campaigns.
Even in the simplest portrait photography the use of light, whether ambient or flash, to create the right visual impact and the ability to have consistency of style and colour across all the portraits on your web site is of paramount importance. An experienced professional photographer has the skill and knowledge that will ensure your business is presented as it should be.
Businesses may choose to only use a professional photographer for what they see as the bigger jobs, jobs that are beyond their skill level, where quality images are required from the most difficult of situations. Events, conferences and the like. That is fine by me as that is where I excel. My years of experience and knowledge gained over my career allow me to shoot these events with ease and provide stunning, quality images from the most demanding of situations that will tell your story or showcase your event as it deserves.
If you care about the image your business presents to the world across it’s social media or PR and marketing campaigns give me a call. It’s what I do and I can help sell your story or image to the world.
The start of a New Year is a good time to think about updating your social media headshot. Fashions change as do hairstyles so keep your images looking fresh by updating your picture regularly. Individuals or complete teams can be accommodated. Why not give me a call on 02920 361126 or email me
A typical overcast and wet January day greeted me at Cardiff Airport for this shoot to mark the signing of a new contract with Global Trek Aviation. As the saying goes, "There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing", and a little bit of fill flash helped brighten the faces.
For the second year running I was commissioned to photograph Meleri, a case study for the Food Standards Agency food intolerance campaign #justask. The commission also involved the production of a selection of video clips for inclusion in the agencies Instagram Story campaign.
A commission to photograph the Farming Connect Agri Academy Rural Leadership Group 2012 meeting at Onnen Fawr Farm, Crai, Nr Sennybridge in The Brecon Beacons, South Wales resulted in a snowy drive into the remote Brecon Beacons. Part of the commission also required some pictures of host farmer Keri Davies with his Glamping Lodges at the farm.
A corporate portraiture commission for Cardiff Airport required portraits of all it's directors together with some board meeting images.
A new Managing Director for Redrow South Wales.
I love this off beat unplanned picture from a commission from Toyota UK to photograph it's Mirai hydrogen car taking part in the Inaugural Green Dragon Rally around Swansea and The Gower Peninsular in August. The event for electric and hydrogen powered vehicles gathered at The Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea, before setting off from Castle Gardens in the City Centre on it’s 60 mile tour of the picturesque Gower Peninsular ending with an auto test at Swansea Airport before heading for the finish line back at Castle Gardens.
